Research master’s, MBA or professional graduate school in Korea?

Read the full graduate school and programme name when choosing a Korean master’s. One university may offer business study through several schools or MBA formats. Define what you want to learn, then compare the actual award and structure.

Record both the school category and programme

SKKU distinguishes general, special and professional graduate schools and describes business programmes with different languages and schedules. “MBA” alone does not establish an English-taught, daytime or identical award.

Record university, graduate school, programme, concentration and qualification separately. If a marketing title differs from the admission guide, establish the official name used for the application.

Ask six questions before comparing prices

Compare costs on the same basis. Separate semester tuition, planned duration, extra semesters and other charges. For scholarships, identify the fees covered, support period and continuation conditions before comparing total commitments.

Connect your purpose to actual teaching

Someone preparing for research can investigate relevant supervisors, methods courses and thesis supervision. Someone expanding professional responsibilities can compare needed courses, projects and schedules. Programme categories should not be used as a universal ranking of ease or quality.

For example, an export professional interested in logistics data should examine operations and analytical courses. If later doctoral study is also a goal, check the research preparation and entry requirements for that next step separately.

Check English teaching and practical arrangements separately

An English website does not establish the language of compulsory courses, assessment or supervision. Verify these for the exact programme. Answers can differ even within one graduate school.

Also connect international entry arrangements and any Korean residence or employment plans to that programme. Evening or online teaching alone does not settle those arrangements. Use the full programme name when asking the school.
