Service applications and payment information
We store nationality, current residence, consultation results, the recommended service and progress to handle a direct service request or connect your enquiry with your account. When checkout starts, we store the product, amount, currency, report credit, consent version and time, order and payment identifiers, and payment status. GEA does not collect or store card numbers or PayPal passwords. When payment is enabled, PayPal receives the order identifier, product, amount and merchant account; we receive payment and refund results.
Connecting a guest enquiry uses a single-use receipt cookie valid for 24 hours together with a Google account verified under the same email. The cookie contains no name or email. Service information is available to the account owner and authorized staff and is not automatically shared with partners.
For service preparation, we store checklist items, confirmation replies, submitted files, staff correction requests and delivered results. Files are not published through public paths and can be accessed only by their account owner and authorized GEA internal staff.

We store your Google account identifier, name, email, language, consent version and time, and last sign-in time to manage your account and connect enquiries. We do not store your Google password, access tokens or refresh tokens. New accounts are members; partner and internal roles require administrator approval. Without account consent, Google member features are unavailable; basic university information remains public.
Optional preferences and communications
Nationality, study goal and preferred intake are optional and are not required to join. Admissions and scholarship communications require separate opt-in, unchecked by default. You can change preferences and withdraw opt-in in your account. Automated email delivery is not connected yet.
Online enquiries
Online enquiries collect your name and email, and optional nationality, education, school and residence countries, curriculum and school history, graduation status and year, credentials and awarding body, Korean nationality and whether both parents are foreign nationals, study goal and intake, semester budget, TOPIK level, selected questions and schools, and message to process and respond to your enquiry. After Google sign-in, roadmap education, graduation dates, study gaps and activities, study purpose, institution preferences, career interests and study preferences are automatically saved under your account. Reset clears roadmap answers and retains prior enquiries. Contact edits, messages and enquiry consent are not autosaved. An enquiry is sent only on submission. The draft retention period is one year. Without consent, online submission is unavailable.
Account retention and requests
The draft account policy retains information while your account is active and processes deletion requests. Contact lcj3117@gea.sc.kr for access, correction or account deletion. Automatic expiry deletion and self-service account deletion are not implemented. Google authentication is also subject to Google’s privacy policy. Production storage locations and final retention periods must be confirmed before launch.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies for login sessions and one-time Google authentication state. Staff passwords are stored as hashes. University comparison selections are stored on your device. Study preparation drafts use this browser’s session storage and are not reused after 12 hours. Logging out or submitting an enquiry clears the draft; consent is never stored in the draft.
