Find answers about university applications, costs, visas and GEA services.
First-year undergraduate entry generally requires secondary school completion, a master’s requires a bachelor’s, and a doctorate requires a master’s or equivalent. Check the intake guide for expected graduation, nationality or overseas schooling, language and, for transfers, credit requirements.
Start with your programme level and intake. Check which majors actually recruit international students and the teaching language, then compare the campus, tuition, scholarship terms and housing on the same basis.
Korean- and English-taught programmes use different language evidence. Check the tests accepted, minimum score and submission deadline in the intake guide. Some universities recognise a language programme or other qualifications.
Check the online application deadline and the date by which originals must arrive in the guide for your intake. Use the separate university notice for any additional application round.
The 2026 average annual tuition at four-year general and education universities in Korea is about KRW 7.27 million. The national/public average is KRW 4.25 million and the private average KRW 8.23 million. Study in Korea estimates living costs at KRW 750,000–1 million a month. Use your programme’s semester tuition and housing costs for your own budget.
For an entry award, check who qualifies, the amount, language or admissions criteria and whether a separate application is due. For continuing awards, check the covered terms, grades and credits. Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) has its own call for applications each year.
Budget for housing, meals, insurance, transport and initial expenses. Check the actual application, admission, dormitory and visa charges. Deduct confirmed tuition awards and keep any GEA service fees as a separate budget item.
Degree study normally uses a D-2 category and university Korean-language training generally uses D-4-1. Check the school’s admission letter process and the relevant Korean mission’s instructions. Admission and visas are decided by the university and the visa authority respectively.
Check the university’s instructions for your programme and intake against the eligible categories in the Korea Visa Portal. The university can confirm whether it handles electronic visa applications for that intake and explain the submission route.
Check your immigration status, language and study conditions with your university, and obtain part-time employment permission from the immigration office before starting. Eligible hours and start conditions depend on your programme and circumstances.
The initial consultation is free. We use your intended programme and preparation stage to identify admissions checks, next steps and relevant support. You can review the scope and fees of any document or application service you want to use.
The report compares three universities, including majors, tuition, scholarships, housing and application timelines. It includes a one-hour video consultation in English or Vietnamese. Report delivery marks the service complete, and any included consultation still due remains available.
Share the university, programme and intake. GEA can check the admissions route and identify the document, application and interview preparation support you need. You can choose an application service after the intake requirements are checked.
The service pages show the standard fees and what each product covers. For extra work such as adding a university in the same intake, GEA confirms the school, intake and scope before quoting. Tuition, visa charges, translation, authentication and delivery are separate third-party costs.
Refunds depend on the terms for the purchase and the work completed. Check the start and completion rules for your product in the refund policy, then contact your existing consultation channel with your reference for a specific purchase.
If your nationality or country of residence is Vietnam, Sri Lanka or India, GEA routes you to the local consultation channel. Check the service page for the relevant contact route or include your nationality and country of residence in your enquiry.
You can send an initial enquiry by selecting a topic or writing your question. A formal application may require a passport, graduation and transcript records and language evidence. Check the university guide for document age, translation, authentication and original copies.
When application documents are needed, your adviser will provide the submission route. Send your passport and transcript through that route. The consultation form lets you choose whether to share saved preparation information.
Sign in to see enquiries and service progress linked to your account. If you cannot find the enquiry there, share the original reference so staff can verify access and locate it.
Tell us your agency name, country of operation and the support you want. We discuss who handles recruitment, documents and university applications. Staff can access the partner workspace after their organisation and permissions are approved.
Universities can discuss international recruitment, student support, education and research, and systems cooperation. Share your department, target countries or programmes and intake dates or project goals so we can define the scope.
Tell us the work, programmes and timing in your cooperation enquiry. Fees and settlement are discussed once the scope is clear. Include the purpose for agreement or results materials, or the topic and available times for a meeting or demonstration.
