How much scholarship funding is available?
Key information
Distinguish entry awards from scholarships renewed during study. Check covered charges, payment timing and renewal conditions, not only the percentage.
Separate the stages
Entry and continuing-student awards may use different criteria. Do not assume the first semester’s discount continues.
Understand coverage
A 50% tuition discount on invented KRW 4 million tuition saves KRW 2 million. It does not halve living costs. GKS and university awards have separate routes.
Read the conditions
Record eligible intake/programme, selection, deadlines, deduction or payment timing, duration, renewal and rules for combining awards.
Budget for uncertainty
Calculate with and without an unconfirmed award, and for the semester after an entry discount ends.
