How much is tuition?
Key information
Start with actual semester tuition, deduct confirmed scholarships and add living costs. Annual statistics, invoices and language-course fees are different figures.
Compare the same period
Use the exact year, intake and programme. Half an annual figure is an estimate, not an invoice. For language study, record the course length and required registrations.
Build a complete budget
Separate one-off and monthly costs. Include additional school charges, housing deposits, rent, food, transport, insurance, materials, documents and travel.
A hypothetical calculation
Assume KRW 4 million tuition and a confirmed 50% discount: KRW 2 million payable. An assumed monthly living budget of KRW 900,000 for six months adds KRW 5.4 million. Subtotal: KRW 7.4 million before other charges. These invented planning inputs are not a university quote.
Check the payment sequence
Ask whether the scholarship is deducted or paid later. Record payment deadlines, refund rules and exchange/transfer costs before sending money.
General preparation checklist
- Academic year, semester, major and currency
- Actual semester fee versus annual-derived reference
- Whether application, admission, housing and insurance fees are included
- Amounts before and after scholarship and refund guidance
Application pathway
Check the intake and programme on the university page. If information is missing, include the selected university and your questions in the consultation.
Official resources
This is general preparation guidance. Confirm school-specific conditions, fees and permission decisions with intake-specific official sources and the responsible institution.
