University and overseas agency roles: organise recruitment by country
Separate nationality, residence and document-issuing country when assigning recruitment work. Use GEA’s published country-based cooperation scope to define university and agency handovers.
Assign recruitment work by recording nationality, current residence and the country issuing academic records separately, then agreeing an owner at each stage. One country label cannot describe language, documents, communication and assessment arrangements.
Organise countries within an existing cooperation scope
GEA's university partnership page identifies countries including Vietnam, Indonesia, Nepal and Sri Lanka, and describes cooperation through local networks aligned with university recruitment policies. When several countries introduce the same university, separate shared recruitment information from work to check locally. GEA university partnership information
Add residence and assessment location beside nationality in the recruitment record so staff can choose the next communication route.
Check responsibilities against three situations
Preparing in the nationality country: local staff handle contact and collection while Korea staff compare university requirements and dates.
Living in Korea: confirm contact and assessment arrangements and assign any university visit or correction follow-up.
Graduated in another country: track the issuing country and translation or certification as separate preparation items.
These scenarios help align work with the student's actual location. Link the university's current recruitment information to the target countries and admission routes.
What should each team hand over?
University: admission criteria, assessment, results and registration information
Local partner: student intentions, preparation, local communication and collection
Korea coordinator: university cross-checks, progress and correction messages
Shared record: current stage, last checked date, next action, owner and deadline
Separate established facts from evidence still to collect. The next team should receive the specific item and date to check, rather than a general request to “review this student”.
Starting country-based operations
Agree the programme and intake, working languages, document route and contacts first. Then collect enquiries, preparation, submission, results and registration in one format. Update country counselling materials and student messages together when fees or dates change.
Tell GEA your countries of interest, programme and intake, and the local or Korea-based support needed.
