Root-industry employment preparation: programme, skills assessment and job offer
Read the 2026 second-half official notice as a completed application-period example. Identify the designated programme, student evidence and separate employment and status stages.
For root-industry work, first check whether you belong to the designated university programme, rather than relying on a broad engineering major name. The Ministry's 2026 second-half assessment notice describes a specific student route. Separate programme participation, skills assessment, employment and residence change.
What example does the 2026 notice provide?
Notice 2026-428 was published on 15 June 2026 and accepted applications from 15 to 26 June. That application period has ended; this article uses it to explain the preparation structure.
It concerns designated training-university students expected to graduate in August 2026 under D-2, or previous graduates under D-10. It also identifies students registered in the relevant root-industry programme at entry. A similar institution or department name does not establish participation.
Check your programme with the university
Stage | Student information | University check |
|---|---|---|
Designation | School, department, entry year and registration type | Designated programme participation |
Study | Expected or completed graduation | Degree and transcript evidence |
Language | Test or completion evidence | Accepted format for that notice |
Recommendation | Office and process | University recommendation documents |
After assessment | Result, certificate and employment situation | Subsequent employment and administration |
Do not assume all courses at one university are included. Give your actual entry and registration details.
Assessment included interview and practical work
The notice separates document review, interview and practical assessment, including subject knowledge, application at work, understanding of duties and Korean explanation. Organise evidence of tasks actually practised rather than listing certificate names alone.
Connect processes, equipment, safe working methods and problem checking to genuine course records. Distinguish work performed from work observed or completed jointly.
Match evidence to the relevant round
The notice includes TOPIK level 2 or above among its language conditions and requires valid evidence. For Social Integration Programme evidence, read the document notes as well as the eligibility paragraph.
Prepare application, recommendation, study, identity and language documents through the university's process. For a later round, use its actual new notice rather than copying the June 2026 dates, forms or fees.
Fictional example: a similar department name
A fictional student studied welding-related subjects. That is different from being registered in this designated programme. Establish the participation type first, then organise study, language, recommendation and assessment preparation if the route applies.
After passing, retain the assessment confirmation and connect it to employment and later applications. The attached official forms distinguish assessment from the complete residence-change process.
When an employer offers work
Collect actual duties, location, contract terms and contact, then compare degree, field and assessment result. Allocate checks separately to the university, employer and administrative reviewer.
Summarise your programme registration, graduation status, language evidence, assessment result and actual offer so education and employment preparation can be reviewed together.
