Korean university agency partnerships: costs, documents and responsibilities
Use a real two-invoice language-course example to check student cost guidance, then divide admissions checks, document preparation and student communication. Explore an admissions partnership with GEA.
When choosing a Korean university admissions partner, agree who handles student counselling, programme checks, cost guidance, documents and follow-up. Students and staff need the same cost and deadline information throughout preparation.
Applying real data: explain both invoices
GEA's published Suncheon Jeil College Korean-language course example covers entry through December 2026 and three terms / 30 weeks of tuition.
- First invoice: tuition KRW 3,600,000 + application fee 50,000 + accommodation 800,000 = KRW 4,450,000
- Second invoice after arrival: student management 400,000 + textbooks 150,000 + insurance 150,000 + other charges 100,000 = KRW 800,000
- Combined invoice total: KRW 5,250,000
- Accommodation covered: 20 weeks; difference from course duration: 10 weeks
Sharing only the first invoice leaves out KRW 800,000 payable after arrival. Describing the package only as a three-term course can also make students think accommodation covers all 30 weeks. Record the amount, payment stage and period covered together.
Basis: 2026 Korean-language course invoices; second invoice dated 4 September 2026. GEA's published breakdown
For another intake, compare the invoice items and payment structure for that intake first. Explain airfare, living costs and document preparation separately from the school's invoice total.
Which student information is useful?
Organise the student's highest qualification and graduation date, intended degree and major, teaching language, language scores, intake and budget. Similar department names can refer to different degrees or teaching languages, so identify the actual programme.
For an initial company partnership enquiry, share the company name, operating country, main study routes and support required. Collect individual student documents during application preparation.
How should agencies divide programme and document work?
Agree an owner and communication channel for each step:
- Student counselling: study goals, budget, language preparation and local communication
- Programme checks: departments, teaching language, eligibility and application dates
- Cost guidance: applicable intake, scholarships, invoice items and payment periods
- Document preparation: university checklists, certification or translation requirements and corrections
- Follow-up: submission status, requests for additional documents and student responses
Use the same basis for the student's guidance and the staff cost sheet. Identify who checks and communicates changed costs or deadlines. The university handles admissions decisions.
