The Korea Visa Application Center (KVAC) in Hanoi was established under the authorization of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Korea, with the primary purpose of assisting individuals and organizations in applying for Korean visas.

KVAC Hanoi is an authorized visa center responsible for receiving and processing visa applications for entry into Korea. It is not an official department under the Consular Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Hanoi. Instead, the center operates as a bridge between visa applicants and the Korean government, helping to streamline the visa application process and offering related services to support clients before, during, and after obtaining their visas.

KVAC is an authorized center responsible for:

  • Receiving and processing visa applications for entry into Korea.

    Through the Center’s official website, applicants can access visa-related information, application guidelines, online Q&A, and check visa application status.

  • Customer Services:
    For greater convenience, the Center has added more submission counters and arranged dedicated consultants on-site so applicants can receive immediate assistance. The Center also provides useful travel information and additional support services for visitors. Special services are available for VIP clients and designated travel agencies.

  • Reduced Waiting Time:
    To minimize waiting time, applicants can make appointments in advance through the Center’s website. KVAC is equipped with a queue management system, including ticket dispensers and other supporting services.

V. Guide to Booking an Appointment for Visa Application at KVAC Hanoi

To submit a Korean visa application, you must book an appointment online through the KVAC website. Follow the steps below to successfully schedule your appointment:

Step 1: Visit the KVAC Hanoi website and select your preferred time slot

Access the Appointment Registration section on the KVAC Hanoi website, then choose the date and time you wish to submit your application.
Appointments can only be booked from Monday to Friday, between 08:30 and 16:00.

Step 2: Fill in all required information

Provide complete and accurate details, including:

  • Visa type

  • Number of applicants

  • Relationship to the applicant

  • Information of the person submitting the application

  • Intended departure date

Step 3: Verify your mobile phone number

After entering your phone number, click “Receive verification code”.
KVAC will send a verification code to the registered mobile number.
Enter this code in the required field and click “Confirm” to complete the verification process.
Once successful, the system will display “Verification completed.”

Step 4: Finalize your appointment registration

After filling in all information:

  1. Check the three boxes to agree to the appointment booking terms, and

  2. Click “Register.”

Once the registration is complete, review your details in the Appointment Lookup section.
Then print your appointment slip and bring it with you when submitting your visa application at KVAC.

VI. Steps for Submitting Your Application at KVAC Hanoi

Step 1: Go to the reception desk on the 1st floor and present your Citizen ID, Identity Card, or Driver’s License.

Step 2: Receive your access card from the reception counter and proceed to the 12th floor.

Step 3: Take a queue number and wait in the waiting area.

Step 4: When your number is called, move to the designated submission counter as instructed.

Step 5: Pay the required fees at the payment counter and receive your receipt along with an identification sticker.

Step 6: Obtain your appointment slip with an official stamp and wait for the designated result date.

VII. Important Notes When Submitting an Application at KVAC

  • Check your passport validity: KVAC does not accept passports with less than 6 months of validity.

  • Verify your designated submission center based on your place of residence.

  • Applicants residing from Da Nang northwards (excluding Da Nang, Hue, Quang Nam, and Quang Ngai) may submit applications at KVAC Hanoi (temporary residents must present a temporary residence permit).

  • Applicants residing from Da Nang southwards may submit applications at the Korean Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.

  • Applicants residing in Da Nang, Hue, Quang Nam, and Quang Ngai must submit their applications at the Korean Consulate General in Da Nang.

  • Applicants must complete all required fields on the Visa Application Form.

  • If any documents are missing, applicants must supplement them as soon as possible at the Korea Visa Application Center.

  • When collecting visa results, bring your original ID card and the original appointment slip.
