My visa extension is coming up… and I missed a lot of classes this term.
Getting a visa is one thing. Keeping it is another. And it starts in the classroom.
The classroom? What do you mean?
First, show up.
Many professors check attendance every class, and being late can count too.
Read your school's rules in your first week.
Too many absences can mean failing a course,
and your record follows you when you extend your visa.
Second, team projects. Many classes have group work, planned in a group chat.
Reply, share the work fairly, and keep your deadlines.
Group chats… okay, I can do that!
Third, emails.
Put your course and name in the subject line, start politely, give your student ID,
and keep it short.
If you'll miss a class, write before it starts, not after.
Fourth, do your own work. Copying without citing is plagiarism.
Rules for AI tools differ by school and course, so check the syllabus.
So I check before I use AI for homework.
Exactly. And when you're not sure, ask your professor.
Show up, team up, write politely, and do your own work.
Quick check: you'll miss class tomorrow. What should you do?
