And my major? I'll just pick the one that's easiest to get into.
Careful.
Choose a major for the job you want after graduation, not just for admission.
Here's why.
Graduates of Korean universities can stay up to three years to look for work.
But to switch to a work visa, your job generally needs to match your major.
So my major decides which jobs I can get a visa for?
In many cases, yes.
That's why science, engineering, IT, and health majors often lead more directly to
jobs in Korea.
The link between the major and the job is clear.
Business, humanities, and social science majors can build great careers too.
They usually need advanced Korean, because the work is all about communication.
So for those majors, Korean is the main tool.
Exactly. Every major can work.
The real question is, what does your future job need, and are you ready to build it?
Arts and sports majors often ask for a portfolio or an audition,
so check those requirements early.
Not sure yet? That's okay.
Start with the kind of work you'd enjoy, then work backward to the major.
Job first, then major. Got it.
So, which field are you interested in?
