A hundred tabs open... and I still don't know where to start.
Visa, costs, TOPIK, schools... it's too much!
Hi there! I'm Bueong, a senior at GEA. I help students plan their study in Korea.
And this is Nuri. Just like you, Nuri is thinking about studying in Korea.
Hi! Nice to meet you!
In this course, we'll go step by step: deciding, applying, arriving, and building
your life in Korea.
Ten short modules, about eighty minutes in total.
So... why Korea, anyway?
Great question. Let's start there.
One: quality education.
Korean universities offer programs in engineering, health, business, the arts and
more, and many have support offices just for international students.
Two: scholarships.
Many universities lower tuition for good Korean or English scores.
And the government's GKS scholarship covers airfare, tuition, Korean language
training, and a monthly allowance.
Wait, the government pays for all that?
For selected students, yes. It's competitive, so preparation matters.
Three: a future after graduation.
Graduates of Korean universities can stay for up to three years to look for work,
and move to a work visa once they're hired in their field.
Four: everyday life.
Cities are well connected by fast public transport, and life goes on late into the
evening.
And five: people.
You'll study with classmates from all over the world, and discover a culture that's
much bigger than K-pop and K-dramas.
Okay, now I'm getting excited!
Education. Scholarships. A future. Everyday life. And people.
