1. Scope and your rights
This policy applies to new orders under gea-services-2026-11-04-v25.0. Existing orders keep their agreed terms. Before any paid work starts, the service fee is fully refundable. Preliminary eligibility screening alone is not paid commencement. Mandatory withdrawal, cancellation and refund rights take priority over the contractual schedule below; a legally required greater refund is not reduced by this table.
2. Component allocation
Apply retains its 58% document / 42% statement allocation. Admit and the US$599 admission part of Complete retain 37% document / 26% statement / 37% interview allocations. Complete visa support is a separate US$100 or US$200 component.
| Component | Apply US$379 | Admit US$599 | Complete US$699 | Complete electronic US$799 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Document and application support | US$219.82 | US$221.63 | US$221.63 | US$221.63 |
| Personal statement | US$159.18 | US$155.74 | US$155.74 | US$155.74 |

3. Assessing each component
For the purchased Match Report, document, personal-statement or visa component: not started, 100% refundable; started but not completed, 50%; completed, 0%, subject always to section 1. For standalone Visa Support, this schedule applies to its US$149 fee. Interview preparation uses the unused-hours rule below. GEA records the component, actual work, commencement and completion dates and supplies the basis of the calculation. Starting one component does not start another.
A paid Match Report starts when the required questionnaire has been submitted and report work actually begins, and completes on delivery of the report. Document work starts when the documents needed for the purchased work have been supplied and that work actually begins; it completes on the university's confirmation of originals received after admission or its unsuccessful decision. Statement work starts after the required answers are supplied and drafting begins, and completes on your final approval. Interview work starts with the first session. Visa work starts only after admission, the visa-stage materials and actual agreed visa work; it completes on successful application submission. Free screening materials alone do not trigger any of these paid stages.
4. Prepaid visa and additional universities
If the visa component has not started, US$100 (standard Complete) or US$200 (electronic-visa Complete) is refunded in full, even if admission work has started or finished or admission is unsuccessful. Once visa work starts, only that component follows section 3. The visa allocation is not calculated as a percentage of the entire US$699 or US$799.
An additional-university invoice is fully refundable before its work starts. After commencement, GEA deducts only the value of the work actually performed, supported by an itemised account, and refunds the unused balance. The deduction cannot exceed that additional-university fee. An automatic 50% or 100% forfeiture is not applied. Third-party payments are assessed separately and cannot be described as GEA work.
5. Interview preparation and remaining consultation
Refund unused interview preparation in proportion to the sessions or hours purchased. For five equal one-hour sessions, two attended sessions leave three-fifths of the allocated interview fee refundable. A session cancelled or missed with less than 24 hours' notice is treated as attended under the existing booking rule, subject to mandatory rights. Completion of the Match Report on delivery does not remove an included video consultation still owed.
6. Report credit and an example
A paid Match Report retains full credit toward an eligible later package. The credited amount forms part of the package price for its refund calculation, as under the existing arrangement. Once the report is delivered it is not separately refundable again. The order and refund calculation show credit and new payments separately so the same payment is not refunded twice.
Example: documents completed, statement started but unfinished, all interview hours unused and visa work not started. Admission refund: US$0 + US$77.87 + US$221.63 = US$299.50. Add the fully refundable unstarted visa component: standard Complete refund US$399.50; electronic-visa Complete refund US$499.50. Actual cases use the work record, applicable credits and statutory rights.
7. GEA cancellation and third-party costs
If GEA cancels a service for a reason not attributable to you, that service is fully refunded under the existing policy. Amounts paid to a university, government, translator, carrier or other third party are separate and subject to the recipient's rules and applicable law. They are not automatically deducted from an unused GEA service fee. Mandatory compensation and refund rights remain unaffected.
8. Request and timing
Send your request to lcj3117@gea.sc.kr with your order reference or purchase email and the service concerned. A reason may help us resolve the matter but is not required to exercise an unconditional statutory withdrawal right. GEA confirms receipt and provides the component-based calculation and supporting work record. Where Korean statutory withdrawal applies to a service, the refund is made within three business days from withdrawal, and the payment provider is promptly asked to stop or cancel the charge where required. No withdrawal penalty or payment-processing deduction is imposed where the law prohibits it.
For a voluntary cancellation outside a statutory refund timetable, GEA confirms the amount within three business days and processes the return to the original payment method within ten business days after confirmation. This contractual period never postpones an earlier legal deadline. Any non-returnable third-party processing charge may be considered only where lawful and previously disclosed, not as an automatic deduction from a legally required refund.
9. Applicable terms
Read this policy with the service terms. The English text prevails if translations differ, subject to mandatory rights. Existing purchases retain their accepted version.
